To highlight the diversity of our team, we’ve asked Jarrod Bryan, Lead Brand Designer, to share more about his experience working at Instawork.
What do you do at Instawork and how long have you been with the company?
My title is Lead Brand Designer and I’ve been with the company for about 4 months now.
I collaborate with our marketing and product stakeholders on all creative output for our website, sales and marketing collateral and internal communications. I’m responsible for stewarding the visual design of Instawork, ensuring that all design we release has a cohesive look and feel.
What initially attracted you to Instawork?
I was attracted to the purpose of the product. Empowering people to get to work each day and helping to improve their quality of life is something that gives our team a strong sense of purpose in the work we do. It’s important to me as a creative to ensure that my energy is spent supporting a product and company that have a direct positive impact on the world.
What's your favorite part of your job?
My favorite part of my job is collaborating with our team which is incredible. We have some brilliant folks working across the org. Redesigning the site and creating a new visual language for Instawork has been a great experience so far. Since joining Instawork 3 months ago we have redesigned the site and and created a scalable design system that has been implemented across all marketing touch points like sales decks, overviews, swag, and social content.
What is one piece of “work from home” equipment you couldn’t live without?
MacBook Pro.
What's the most important thing you've learned since starting at Instawork?
Gaining a deeper understanding of our shift categories and the needs of both our partners and professionals has been invaluable in the design process.
In 10 words or less, how would you describe the culture at Instawork?
Supportive, curious, driven, intelligent, experienced, inclusive, accountable, and fun.
