Introducing our Vice President of Partnerships

Adam Herbert is the new Vice President of Partnerships for Instawork. Prior to Instawork, Adam spent the last five years at Grubhub where he led the expansion of the company’s onsite technology, moving from university-focused applications to new verticals including hotels, corporate centers, hospitals, and stadiums.

As the Senior Director of Grubhub OnSite, Sales, and Partnerships, his team expanded the Grubhub OnSite product offering with new partnerships, including robot delivery companies, Amazon’s Just Walk Out technology, reusable container technology, and smart locker technology.

We wanted to take this opportunity to highlight Adam, his expertise, and what excites him about Instawork’s growth.‍

What do you do at Instawork and how long have you been with the company?

As Instawork’s new Vice President of Partnerships, I am focused on helping our Partners leverage Instawork’s technology to meet their business needs. I’ve been with Instawork for two months now and it’s an exciting place to work!

What initially attracted you to Instawork?

There were two things that initially attracted me to Instawork. The first was that I was drawn to the company’s mission that the team is working so hard to achieve. “To create economic opportunity for Partners and Professionals, globally” will make a difference in millions of lives and I’m excited to help play a role. Second, this is a great opportunity to help turn a fast-growing company into a household name. Turning Instawork into the next Uber, Airbnb, etc. was a powerful draw.

What's your favorite part of your job?

Working with our world class partners. Instawork has become the trusted labor marketplace for some of the largest companies/brands in the country. Having the opportunity to work with them to help them achieve their goals is very motivating.

What is one piece of “work from home” equipment you couldn’t live without?

A second monitor. Multitasking with too many open documents on one screen is very challenging. Adding a second screen is life changing!

What's the most important thing you've learned since starting at Instawork?

Adapting to the speed of decision making across the organization. Moving quickly allows us to test ideas that will make for a better user experience for both our Partners and our Pros in real time.

In 10 words or less, how would you describe the culture at Instawork?

Fast paced, experienced, intellectually curious, and motivated to be great.
