Our Employee Spotlight series takes the opportunity to highlight members of our team and to give a glimpse into our culture and what it's like to work at Instawork. To highlight the diversity of our team, we've asked Shiva Mallaiah, Senior Associate - Finance, to share more about his experience working at Instawork.
I'm currently working as a Finance Associate at Instawork, where I've been proud to be part of the team since 2019.
Its mission is to create economic opportunities for local businesses and hourly professionals.
My favorite part of my job is the impact I get to make through data-driven decision-making. In finance, every number tells a story-and I love diving into the details to uncover insights that help the business grow smarter and more efficiently.
One thing I couldn't live without is my noise-canceling headphones. They help me stay focused during meetings, especially when it gets noisy at home. It's a small tool that makes a big difference in my productivity.
The most important lesson I've learned since joining Instawork is the power of collaboration in a fast-growing organization. No matter how strong your individual skills are, meaningful impact happens when cross-functional teams come together to solve problems, share insights, and drive results. It's been a great reminder of how essential clear communication and teamwork are to achieving success.
